With the pubs and bars in Manchester now shut for the time being, many bars, bottle shops and breweries are now selling beer online.
Here’s a guide to where you can buy beer for delivery in Manchester while the pubs are closed, and some venues offering the chance to pre-pay for your drinks for when they can reopen.

Ramsbottom is one of my favourite places to visit in Greater Manchester and on a little Sunday morning outing, we managed to stumble across a little hidden gem – a newly-opened craft beer shop, named The House of Beer.
Well, it’s got to be said that 2015 has been a pretty damn good year if you’re a beer drinker in Manchester. We’ve had new breweries setting up shop, new bars opening and plenty of beer festivals and brew taps, so here’s a little look back at the year just gone.
I took a visit back to my hometown of sunny Southport recently and no trip home is complete without popping in to the wonderful Inn Beer Shop on Lord Street.
This little place opened up after I’d moved away from Southport and it was recommended to me by my parents (who call it the German beer shop).
It’s a real treasure trove and, as well as its selection of beers to take away, it also has a couple of beers on cask and keg – the keg beers are usually international pilsners and the cask beers are from Southport Brewery. You can also drink any bottle on the premises for an additional 50p.
The only downside is it is very small and there isn’t too much seating so it can be a bit hectic of an evening.
The bottled selection includes a variety of British beers – from both larger breweries and some local breweries. The Continental beers mainly come from Germany and Belgium. Along with the beers on the shelves, there’s also a few fridges.
Here’s what we came away with – Southport Brewery’s Old Shrimper Winter Ale and Irlbacher Hefe-Weissbier:
Took a little trip to The Liquor Shop today after hearing about it on Twitter.
It’s quite unassuming and just looks like a regular convenience store from the outside but it has a good selection of local beers, including a fair few weissbiers, so I was spoilt for choice.

Seems like this little shop has big plans for this year so will be one to watch.
