A five city beer battle is the first event announced for this year’s Manchester Beer Week.
Taking place from Friday 29 June to Sunday 8 July 2018, Manchester Beer Week will this year return for its third outing and aims to celebrate Manchester’s bars, breweries and pubs as well as showcasing the city’s beer scene to new audiences.
The first event confirmed for MBW 2018 will be a six-way brewing competition with teams from Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, London and Manchester for Manchester Beer Week’s City Clash. Breweries taking part include Beavertown, Lost and Grounded, Mad Hatter, Northern Monk, Cloudwater and Marble and as the home city, Manchester has been allocated two teams to take part.
All of the beers will be available at this year’s Summer Beer Thing at the Pilcrow on 29 June and simultaneously in venues in Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool and London.
